PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the damage of a cap latch caused by impact from the outside. SOLUTION: The connector has a connector housing 1 and a retainer 2. The connector housing 1 made of a synthetic resin includes a block shape main body 3 with a rectangular cross section, and a cylindrical outer case 4 formed along the outer periphery of the main body 3. In a partition wall 21 opposite to the short edge position corresponding to a small cavity 5 in the side plane of a hood member 23, members corresponding to male tab inserting holes 20 of a second step and a third step are a pair of cap latch members 28, 28. The cap latch member is formed protruding from the inner face of the front wall 17 of the hood member 23 to the rear side, and the upper edges of the cap latch members 28 are formed flexible by connecting to the lower face of a bending regulation piece 13.
