PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel that has low material costs and has high shape precision in a sustaining electrode. SOLUTION: The surface of a mother particle 22 made of a silicon oxide is coated with a covering layer 23 made of silver, thus manufacturing a conductive particle 21. Then, the conductive particle 21 is changed into paste and is applied onto a glass substrate, which is baked, thus forming the sustaining electrode of PDP, and hence reducing the amount of used silver, and the PDP costs and preventing the mother particle 22 from seldom being deformed in baking. As a result, thermal shrinkage is suppressed and the shape precision of the sustaining electrode is improved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
