PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an endoscope insertion portion with high manufacturing efficiency. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method includes a process of forming a hinge protruding part preparation part 66 and a hinge reception part preparation part 70 on a plate material 24 by press work, of forming a first or a second joint ring preparation part 56a, 56b having the part 66 or the part 70 on the plate material 24 by piercing processing, of aligning the part 66 with the part 70 in a direction perpendicular to the plate material 24 by moving either the part 56a or the part 56b of the first and second joint ring preparation parts 56a, 56b through Z bending work, of inserting the part 66 into the part 70 to be turned by performing drawing processing on either the part 56a or 56b of the first and second joint ring preparation parts 56a, 56b, and of applying O bending work after performing U bending work to the parts 56a, 56b.
