<p>An additional transporting pump in the form of a peristaltic type pump(14) connects with the extruder output channels (34,36) and delivers set volumes of the viscous material. The hose pump(14) is located after the extruder pump and has hose sections(16,18) on each of which pressure members, in particular rollers(22,24), producing a rolling action act to transport the material inside. Screw, bayonet or similar connectors allow attachment of the hose ends to connecting channels. A number of parallel hose sections may be located around the outside of a hub(20) at an angle to the flow axis. Pressure members rolling around the outside of the hose sections maintain compression on each hose section at at least one point. Hoses have an elliptical or similar shape with greater breadth than height. Hoses are reinforced with fibers or fabric at least some of which are aligned at 45[deg] to the hose length. Hose sections may also form a circle or part circle and several opposing rollers lying on a symmetric circle roll against the hose. Rollers are spring loaded or have an elastic surface. Rollers may be driven by a planetary type arrangement in which they form the planets. The planetary drive arrangement may have a driven outer ring(26) or a fixed outer ring and a driven sun wheel. Hose material is temperature resistant from 120-250[deg]C, in particular to not less than150[deg]C.</p> |
