Provided is a binary refrigerant, which improves heating quality in a heat pump as well as reduces the ejection temperature at a compressor in a heat pump, and improves the durability of a compressor in an air conditioning system. The binary mixed refrigerant for an air conditioner/heat pump comprises 70-90 wt% of monochlorofluoromethane(CHClF_2, R22 or HCFC22) and 10-30 wt% of propylene(R1270).
