APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR TESTING INVERTER FREEZER IN RAILWAY VEHICLES

An apparatus and a method for testing a temperature rise of a railway vehicle propulsion control inverter are provided to realize a trial temperature rise test apparatus by accurately testing a rise in temperature or a cooling efficiency of the propulsion control inverter in a same condition as an actual travel condition. An apparatus for testing a temperature rise of a railway vehicle propulsion control inverter includes a propulsion control inverter(14), a cooling section(18), a memory section(34), and a control section(32). The propulsion control inverter supplies electric power to a pulling motor through a high speed switching operation. The cooling section cools the propulsion control inverter. A cooling control condition on the cooling section is stored in the memory section. The control section controls the cooling degree of the cooling section with reference to a cooling control condition of the memory section.
