<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To put an abnormal display state back into an excellent display state at an early stage while shortening the abnormal state as far as possible during storefront display. <P>SOLUTION: Disclosed is a display device having a "display mode" wherein when a video adjustment item is changed to setting deviating from an optimum set value, the lapse of time from the point of time of the change is counted and after the lapse of a prescribed return time, the video adjustment item is put back to the optimum set value.
