<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article dividing apparatus and an article dividing method, suitable for dividing an article having a hardness to some degree and hard to push and cut by a knife edge or the like, and equally dividing the article when the shape of the article has a section of rotation symmetry such as a regular polygon or a circle. <P>SOLUTION: This article dividing apparatus 10 includes: a regular hexagonal article holding tool 12 for holding an instant noodle block (article) 14 and regulating the orientation of the instant noodle block 14; a conveying means 20 for conveying the instant noodle block 14 held by the article holding tool 12 along a conveying passage 18 in the direction of X-axis; three cutting means 24 having a circular saw tooth (a cutting blade) 22 in a portion where a rotating shaft C is passed by conveying the instant noodle block 14 held by the article holding tool 12; and two turning means 26 for turning the instant noodle block 14 held by the article holding tool 12 around the rotating shaft C by 60 degrees each. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
