PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge time calculation device and a discharge time calculation method capable of calculating an accurate discharge time of a secondary battery even if a discharge current to a load is changed. SOLUTION: The discharge time calculation device 1 has a data storage part 5 for storing beforehand a discharge voltage characteristic curve showing a relation between each discharge time and each discharge voltage in various discharge currents of the secondary battery, and an operation part 2 for estimating a discharge duration by reading out the discharge voltage characteristic curve corresponding to the discharge current. When the discharge current is changed during discharge of the secondary battery, the operation part 2 reads out the discharge voltage characteristic curve relative to a new discharge current after the change and re-estimate the discharge duration.
