PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hazard information detection device and method for enabling a vehicle to detect a region which can be hazardous in traveling at a curve before entering the curve. SOLUTION: A driving action collecting part 21 stores information acquired from a vehicle information detecting part 11 in a driving action database 31 as driving action information, and extracts a curve section existing ahead in the traveling direction of its own vehicle from a road information database 32 based on the acquired current location. Then, a driving action predicting part 22 predicts a traveling status in the extracted curve section existing ahead in the traveling direction of its own vehicle based on the past driving operation information stored in a driving action database 31. A recommended action calculating part 24 acquires recommended conditions showing a traveling status recommended in the extracted curve section. A danger deciding part 23 decides a road section in which predicted traveling information does not satisfy recommended conditions as a hazardous section, and a presentation part 25 outputs and presents the decided hazardous section to an output part 81.
