PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a photographic printer capable of generating a print channel using usable printing paper without error. SOLUTION: When a value of feed length of printing paper P acquired in a length input area 64C matches the width of set-up printing paper in a print channel setting picture 60 displayed on a monitor even though a value of width of printing paper acquired in a paper width input area 62A does not match the width of the set-up printing paper, it is considered that the data can be substituted, and substitute candidates are displayed in an error picture, and an operator selects a substitute candidate, which is newly registered as a print channel.
