PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain satisfactory smoothness and uniform gloss regardless of an image density or the like in a system in which a toner image carried on a recording sheet is fixed by being heated and pressed while being put beneath a belt member. SOLUTION: An endless fixing belt 2 for use in a fixing device has a surface brought into contact with an unfixed toner image on a recording sheet 1 having the unfixed toner image carried thereon and fixes the unfixed toner image by heat and pressure. The surface to be brought into contact with the unfixed toner image has a microhardness of 5 to 30 and a glossiness Gs (20°) of 50 or more. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
