PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base station apparatus in a mobile phone system capable of providing new services by installing terminal functions to the base station. SOLUTION: A USIM card is loaded to a control section 153 of a wireless MODEM section 15 of the base station apparatus, and a telephone number given to the wireless base station and information associated with external devices connected to the wireless base station or the like are recorded. When a terminal located anywhere makes a call to the telephone number of the wireless base station and a radio network controller receiving the call transmits a call signal to the wireless base station, a control section 153 monitors this signal to detect that the call is addressed to its own station, transmits a connection request to the radio network controller to form a speech path with the caller terminal. When the caller terminal transmits control information to the wireless base station via the speech path, the wireless base station controls, e.g. a household electric appliance and a safety apparatus or captures a video image of a monitor camera and transmits the video image to the caller terminal depending on the control information.
