PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas dynamic pressure bearing, and a motor such as a polygon scanner motor provided with the gas dynamic pressure bearing capable of rotating smoothly by efficiently inhibiting generation of sliding powder even in repetitive turning stopping actions. SOLUTION: The gas dynamic pressure bearing supports rotation by generating a dynamic pressure by relative rotation of a shaft member, and a bearing member fitting on the shaft member via a gas dynamic pressure space. The gas dynamic pressure bearing is composed by coating and molding a whole or at least a bearing surface of either one of the shaft member or the bearing member with a resin material mixed with a sliding performance improving subsidiary material, removing a skin layer of a portion to be the bearing surface, and exposing a surface of the sliding performance improving subsidiary material.
