PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device that prevents a greenish phenomenon from occurring by making parasitic capacitances uneven generating in both sides of a sub-pixel and that improves image quality. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes gate lines 112 and data lines 115 crossing perpendicular to each other on a first substrate to define sub-pixels, thin film transistors disposed at the intersections of the two lines, pixel electrodes 117 connected to the thin film transistors, common electrodes 124 formed in the sub-pixels, a second substrate bonded opposing to a first substrate, and a liquid crystal layer held between the first and the second substrates, wherein a parasitic capacitance generating between a data line 115 arranged at the left side of the sub-pixel and an adjacent common electrode 124 is smaller than a parasitic capacitance generating between a data line 115 at the right side of the sub-pixel and an adjacent common electrode 124.
