PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding type cap which can maintain the expanded shape of the cap and simultaneously well adhere the cap to the head of a person. SOLUTION: This folding type cap 10 is characterized by forming a longitudinally foldable folding portion 13 at a part of a peripheral portion between a front side elastic flat plate 11 and a rear side elastic flat plate 12, becoming a flat state, when the front side elastic flat plate 11 and the rear side elastic flat plate 12 are folded through the folding portion 13, becoming an expanded state, when the front side elastic flat plate 11 and the rear side elastic flat plate 12 are curved and simultaneously expanded through the folding portion 13, and having a chin strap 14 for keeping the expanded state.
