PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing green tea extract comprising efficiently extracting non-polymer catechins falling in green tea leaves; and to provide a packaged tea beverage containing the extract. SOLUTION: The method for producing green tea extract comprises extracting green tea leaves with water in the presence of cyclodextrin.
