PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a universal stand capable of simply and rapidly carrying out height adjustment of a top board by simple constitution. SOLUTION: The universal stand is equipped with supporting legs 2 and a top board 3 supported by the supporting legs 2, and supporting means 4 for supporting the top board is installed in a plurality of stages at upper and lower positions and the top board 3 is detachably installed so as to enable height adjustment by supporting means 4. The supporting means 4 is constituted of a front supporting part 41 installed in the front leg 21 of the supporting legs 2 and a rear supporting part 42 installed in a rear leg 22 of the supporting legs 2, and the front supporting part 41 is constituted of a groove part formed on the inner surface of the front leg 21 so as to enable insertion of the top board 3 and the rear supporting part 42 is constituted of a protruded part protruded from the inner surface of the rear leg 22 to the inner part.
