Repellent (A), useful to protect horses against stinging and sucking insects, comprises paraffin oil containing emulsion base material (comprising sublimated paraffin (80%), potassium olein (10.51%), primary D-pentylalcohol (3.58 wt.%), ethanol (2.56 wt.%), ammonium olein (0.69 wt.%) and anise oil and menthol oil in equal parts, where all the components combine together to form 100%) besides ethereal oils and emulsifiers.
