A process for synthesis of mono-dispersed aluminum hydroxide fine particles is provided to produce the fine particles in a spherical form having average diameter less than 1 micrometer without coagulation by growing aluminum hydroxide fine particle nucleus in mixture solution containing octanol, aluminum alkoxide and dimethyl sulfoxide. The process comprises the steps of: (a) preparing octanol solution by dissolving 0.15-0.65mol/L of aluminum alkoxide in 45-55vol.% of octanol; (b) preparing mixture solution by adding 35-55vol.% of dimethyl sulfoxide to the octanol solution to obtain total 90vol.% of the solvent; (c) dissolving 0.08-0.55mol/L of water in 10vol.% of propanol to form solution and mixing the solution with the previously prepared emulsion; and (d) generating aluminum hydroxide fine particles from the mixture solution and growing the fine particles while stirring the solution. |
