<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot water storage type water heater, capable of preventing damage or deterioration by abnormally high temperature of a heat pump unit by stopping heating operation of hot water, in a state where no hot water is present in a hot water storage tank. <P>SOLUTION: When a hot water supply detection means detects supply of hot water within the hot water storage tank, the detection of hot water supply by the hot water supply detection means is stored in a storage means as data. A heat pump control means performs control not to operate the heat pump, when there is no memory of heat water supply stored in the storage means. The heat pump control means performs to operate the heat pump, when the hot water supply is stored in the storage means as data, so as to heat hot water within the hot water storage tank. Such a control can prevent erroneous empty heating of the hot water storage tank by the heat pump under the absence of hot water in the hot water storage tank, similar to immediately after the setting of the hot water storage type water heater. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
