<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the work of each user when installing a device driver. <P>SOLUTION: The information system comprises a PC 1 connected to a network and peripheral equipment 2 directly connected to the PC 1, and an installer 11 inside the PC 1 acquires device driver acquisition information for acquiring the device driver of the peripheral equipment 2 and control information for controlling the setting of the device driver as installation information when installing the device driver for controlling the peripheral equipment 2.
