<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing apparatus capable of forming an image of high quality over a long period while preventing the deterioration of developer by reducing mechanical stress loaded on the developer and surely electrifying the developer. <P>SOLUTION: Regarding the developing apparatus 6 including a developer carrier 6c that holds and carries non-magnetic one-component developer on the outer peripheral surface thereof, and a supply member 6d for supplying the developer to the developer carrier 6c, a recovery member 6f for recovering the developer remaining on the outer peripheral surface of the developer carrier 6c is provided on the upstream side of the supply member 6d in the rotating direction T2 of the developer carrier 6c, and also, an electrode member 6e composed of a conductive fur brush coming in contact with the outer peripheral surface of the supply member 6d is provided. At least the outer peripheral surface of the supply member 6d is densely formed, so that the developer never enter the inside of the supply member 6d, and an electrical field directed to press the developer against the outer peripheral surface of the supply member 6d is formed between the supply member 6d and the electrode member 6e. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
