<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly efficient reforming method of a fuel cell in which an internal reforming and an external reforming are combined at a temperature interlocked with a solid oxide fuel cell of low temperature (450-650°C) operation type. <P>SOLUTION: In the internal reforming type fuel cell, reformed hydrogen is consumed by power generation reaction and driving force of reforming reaction is maintained by steam generated thereupon. Thereby, invert ratio of reforming reaction can be raised even at a low temperature of around 500°C. Furthermore, a raw material of C2+ is reformed by a low temperature steam reforming reactor and supplied to the internal reforming type fuel cell. Then, the internal reforming type fuel cells are provided in two stages or more, and the raw material hydrocarbon is added to a fuel electrode off-gas of the upper stage and supplied to the internal reforming type fuel cell of the rear stage. The steam generated in power generation reaction is utilized for reforming by the internal reforming fuel cell at the rear stage, thereby drastic steam reduction can be realized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
