PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a metal film with sufficient metallic gloss and having a discontinuous structure even when the amount of an expensive metal to be used is reduced to lower the cost. SOLUTION: A resin product 10 (e.g., a millimeter-wave radar device cover) comprises a plate-like resin substrate 11, a base film 12 formed on the resin substrate 11, and a metallic film 13 having metallic gloss and a discontinuous structure formed on the base film 12, a top coat or a block film formed as a protective film on the metal film 13. The metal film 13 contains a first film 13a having a discontinuous structure obtainable by vacuum deposition of a first metal, a modified surface 13b obtainable by modification of the surface of the first film 13a by bringing the surface into contact with air, and a second film 13c having a discontinuous structure obtainable by vacuum deposition of a second metal on the modified surface 13b.
