PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collision load measuring device for a vehicle capable of measuring a collision load at a high accuracy in the whole region of a large load range to be measured, and to provide a collision object discriminating device capable of discriminating the kind of the collision object at a high accuracy using it. SOLUTION: A sensor cell A type 13 and sensor cell B type 14 have different sensitivity characteristics, respectively. The load in the range to be measured by a mat type pressure sensitive sensor 1 is measured at a high accuracy because it is calculated selectively using a result detected in a high sensitivity region, of the detection results output by the sensor cell A type 13 and sensor cell B type 14.
