PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a refrigerant amount determining operation without being affected by conditions of an indoor temperature and an outdoor temperature in the refrigerant amount determining operation. SOLUTION: This air conditioner 1 comprises a refrigerant circuit 10 constituted by connecting a compressor 21, an outdoor heat exchanger 23, indoor expansion valves 41, 51 and indoor heat exchangers 42, 52, an operation control means performing the refrigerant amount determining operation for controlling a constitutional apparatus to keep the constant pressure of a refrigerant delivered from the indoor heat exchangers 42, 52 to the compressor 21 or a constant operation state quantity equivalent to the refrigerant pressure at a low pressure target value, a condition changing means, and a refrigerant amount determining means determining the adequacy of a refrigerant amount in the refrigerant circuit 10 on the basis of the refrigerant flowing in the refrigerant circuit 10 in the refrigerant amount determining operation or the operation state quantity of the constitutional apparatus. The condition changing means has a plurality of predetermined low pressure target values, and selects one of the plurality of low pressure target values according to the conditions of the indoor temperature and/or outdoor temperature in the refrigerant amount determining operation.
