PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray CT apparatus having a rotation part that is equipped with devices such as an X-ray tube, detector to a fixed part, whose rotation part weight is reduced for reducing a centrifugal force on the rotation part because the centrifugal force is proportional to the weight when the rotation part operates at a high speed. SOLUTION: The X-ray CT apparatus includes a rotary table of a composite material composed of fiber and resin. The composite material is an anisotropic material with high rigidity and strength in a fiber direction, but also with reduced rigidity and strength in a direction perpendicular to the fiber direction, accordingly, the fiber direction is significant in manufacturing. The rotary table is manufactured so that the fiber could be radially arranged and layered for reducing radial distortion. Additionally, circumferential fibers are arranged on the outermost layer of a drum for reducing the radial distortion. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
