摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus and an image correction evaluation method, which are capable of evaluating whether or not appropriately estimating the error distribution of a static magnetic field formed in an imaging area and whether or not appropriately correcting image distortion due to the nonuniformity of the static magnetic field. SOLUTION: This magnetic resonance imaging apparatus 20 is provided with an imaging condition setting means 46 for setting a plurality of different imaging conditions, a receiving means for receiving magnetic resonance signals from the imaging area according to the plurality of imaging conditions, an image reconstruction means 42 for reconstructing a plurality of pieces of image data corresponding to the plurality of imaging conditions based on the magnetic resonance signals, an image distortion correction means 45 correcting the distortions of the plurality of pieces of image data based on the magnetic field distribution of the imaging area, and image correction evaluation means 47 and 48 evaluating whether or not appropriately correcting at least a single piece of image data based on the plurality of image data after the correction.
