PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laundry pole holder including an extendable pipe hung down from a ceiling of a terrace or the like and readily and surely adjusting the height thereof. SOLUTION: The end of an inside pipe 5 is provided with a stopper mechanism composed of a pair of hooking pieces 15a and 15b opened downward into an inverted-V shape and a pair of hooking pawls 16a and 16b protruded at the ends of the hooking pieces. The hooking pawls 16a and 16b are engaged to a pair of hooking holes 13a and 13b or the like provided at a plurality of parts of an outside pipe 4 to fix the inside pipe 5 to the outside pipe 4. The stopper mechanism is surely operated relative to a mounting direction of a laundry pole-hanging arm 6 by wedging action to prevent disengagement thereof by the weight of laundry. Disengagement operation of the hooking pawls 16a and 16b is required only when the inside pipe 5 is lengthened, shortening of the inside pipe 5 requires only pressing-up operation of the laundry pole-hanging arm 6, and while the hooking pawls 16a and 16b are disengaged, the inside pipe 5 slides in the outside pipe 4, so that the height is adjusted.
