Light-weight concrete is prepd. from light-weight fillers, esp. foamed synthetic resin particles or expanded clay, and a hydraulic binder prepared by mixing cement with a small amt. of water and imparting adhesive properties to the mixture by applying high flow speed and/or high pressure, as in DT. 2017647. The viscosity of the mixture is reduced by addition of an agent increasing the flowability of concrete, e.g. Beton-plast-Super (RTM), and opt. increasing the compressive strength of the cement phase by addition of e.g. coal fly ash. Due to the decreased viscosity, the amt. of water added to the composition can be reduced, whereby the strength of the product is increased. |
