A font data supporting method in an ATM(Automated Teller Machine) is provided to secure various fonts by downloading font data stored in a bank host into an RAM(Random Access Memory) of the ATM and displaying the font data on a display unit or printing the font data on a voucher or a journal. A font data supporting method in an ATM is composed of steps for inputting a font selection signal through a font selector; searching whether font data input to a storage unit(106) of the ATM exists or not and temporally storing the font data in an RAM(112); checking whether the font data is stored in a main memory of a host computer or not, through a communication unit(108) if the font data is not stored in the storage unit and then downloading the font data; temporally storing the downloaded font data in the RAM; and outputting the font data temporally stored in the RAM, according to a signal of a control unit(116). |
