摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of fuel consumed by converting radiation energy into hydrogen gas, and recycling and reusing the gas as fuel. <P>SOLUTION: This combustion method includes supplying hydrogen gas to a combustion chamber as fuel from the outside and burning the gas only in a first cycle; from a second cycle on, decomposing steam generated by combustion during cycles prior to the first cycle; returning the hydrogen gas obtained to the combustion chamber and burning the gas again so as to eliminate the need to supply hydrogen gas fuel from the outside from the second cycle on. More specifically, radiation is applied to the steam generated by combustion so as to excite electrons on the outermost shell of each atom constituting a water molecule in a high-temperature state, so as to generate hydrogen radicals and oxygen radicals. The hydrogen radicals are coupled together to create hydrogen gas. The hydrogen gas generated is returned to the combustion chamber and burned again. The steam that remains without being decomposed by the radiation is thermally decomposed or cooled and condensed into water.
