SEPARATOR, MANUFACTURING METHOD OF SEPARATOR AND SOLID POLYMER FUEL CELL USING THE SAME,

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator for solid polymer fuel cell provided with excellent conductivity and excellent corrosion resistant property as well.

SOLUTION: The separator 4 is composed of a stainless steel 41 and an amorphous carbon film 42. The stainless steel 41 has corrosion resistant property against sulfuric acid, and an indented face 411 is formed on a main surface thereof. The amorphous carbon film 42 has a full width at half maximum ranging 50 to 200 cm-1, as that of G-band of Raman scattering spectrum, and specific resistance of about 1.0×10-3Ωcm. The amorphous carbon film 42 is formed by an ECR sputtering method so as to cover the indented face 411 of the stainless steel 41. In this case, the thickness of the amorphous carbon film ranges between 0.1 μm and 1.0 μm.
