<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure strength of an internal member, and to suppress backlash of spline fitting with a shaft when applying heat treatment to an internal diameter face of a shaft hole of the internal member. <P>SOLUTION: The constant velocity universal joint transmitting torque while allowing angular displacement with an outer ring is provided with an inner ring 6, wherein the shaft is inserted into the shaft hole 12 formed in an internal diameter to carry out spline fitting. A hardened layer 19 is formed on the internal diameter face 17 of the shaft hole 12 by induction hardening. A depth (a) of the hardened layer 19 in a shaft insertion side portion 20 of the shaft hole 12 is made smaller than a depth b of the hardened layer 19 of a shaft non-insertion side portion 21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
