摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a diesel engine capable of suitably inhibiting characteristic deterioration of an exhaust gas sensor. <P>SOLUTION: A DPF 26 is provided in an exhaust gas passage 24 of the diesel engine 10 and an air fuel ratio sensor 32 is provided in a downstream of the DPF 26. A heater heating the air fuel ratio sensor 32 is built in the air fuel ratio sensor 32. An EUC 40 executes heating control of the air fuel ratio sensor 32 by a heater 34 and activates the air fuel ratio sensor when it is determined that no water droplet exists in the exhaust gas passage 24. When it is determined that a condition where temperature of the air fuel ratio sensor 32 is lower than exhaust gas temperature continues, an execution condition of post injection for regenerating the DPF 26 is relaxed and exhaust gas temperature is raised, and eventually execution of heat control by the heater 34 is accelerated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
