<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic clutch with reduced driving noise. <P>SOLUTION: The electromagnetic clutch 1 has a rotor 6, an annular armature 5 coaxial with the rotor 6, and first and second electromagnets 32, 33 which are arranged side-by-side in the peripheral direction of the armature 5 and capable of turning the supply of power on and off, independent from each other.
