<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine the existence of input to a brake pedal in automatic control in a control booster capable of being automatically controlled by a controller other than input from the brake pedal. <P>SOLUTION: An input rod 16 is operated by the brake pedal 30, atmospheric air (positive pressure) is introduced to transformer chambers 4B, 5B by a control valve 15, and servo force is generated by differential pressure generated between constant pressure chambers 4A, 5A (negative pressure) and them. Further, energization is performed to a solenoid 23 by a controller 39 to operate an automatic brake device 22 and braking force is controlled by operating the control valve 15. The input rod 16 and the brake pedal 30 can be relatively displaced by engagement of a pin 29 and an oblong hole 34 and relative displacement of the brake pedal 30 and the input rod 16 is detected by a pedal displacement sensor 35 and a rod displacement sensor 36.
