PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a charger which starts charging only when an apparatus is set completely with only a mechanical constitution without employing an electric component such as a microswitch. SOLUTION: When a portable telephone is set, the portable telephone abuts at first against a release button 10 of an actuator 3 to depress the release button 10 and the actuator 3 is turned counterclockwise around a supporting shaft 12 of a drum 11 as the axis of rotation. Since a cut 22 of the drum 11 is located at the position of a plate 23 supporting the drum 11, support by the supporting plate 23 is released and the drum 11 can be depressed. When the portable telephone is depressed furthermore in that state, the entirety of the actuator 3 is depressed obliquely rightward and each output terminal 20 contained in the drum 11 projects from the groove 18 of the drum 11 to abut against the charging terminal of the portable telephone thus starting charging.
