PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent power for generating a potential difference from being consumed uselessly when the print recording liquid of each nozzle is controlled to be ejected toward a print recording liquid receiving region under a state where a potential difference is generated between a print head and the print recording liquid receiving region. SOLUTION: A drive signal DRV applied to a piezoelectric element corresponding to an inspection object nozzle is arranged such that a drive signal DRV is outputted to the piezoelectric element and a voltage signal NPV is also outputted to a nozzle plate in first two continuous segments, but the drive signal DRV and the voltage signal NPV are not outputted in two subsequent segments during inspection period of one nozzle. Consequently, power is not consumed uselessly as compared with a case where the voltage signal NPV is outputted over the whole region. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
