PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid injection device that achieves compactification of the entire device without complicating work for selecting liquids when the liquids are selectively sucked and discharged from a plurality of suction target regions in order to suppress waste of the liquids. SOLUTION: The liquid injection device includes a recording head for injecting ink from nozzles, a cap 32, a waste-liquid tank 25, discharge tubes 34-39, which are provided so as to individually correspond to each nozzle row and in which discharge paths 34a-39a for circulating the ink are internally formed, a suction pump 33, a driving motor 43 for driving the suction pump 33, and a changeover valve device 41 which selectively switches each discharge path so as to be placed in a communicating state or in a non-communicating state by opening or closing a valve interposed in each discharge path.
