PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording apparatus in which in a constitution for connecting a waste ink receiving apparatus (restoration apparatus) for receiving the waste ink discharged from a recording head with a recovering apparatus (waste ink recovering apparatus) through a tube, even if the waste ink overflows from the restoration apparatus, there exists no possibility of staining surrounding parts with the waste ink, and the worst situation that the recording apparatus becomes out of order caused by the overflowed waste ink can be avoided. SOLUTION: A communication opening for overflowing the waste ink is provided on the restoration apparatus, and a receiving part for receiving the overflowed waste ink is provided below it. The receiving part has a tube holding part, and the tube is covered with a covering member having capillary tube force.
