PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge cell structure capable of reducing jitters and discharge voltage, and enhancing the luminance in a plasma display device (plasma display panel). SOLUTION: In discharge cells, zoned by lateral barrier ribs 44 and vertical barrier ribs 45, scanning electrodes Y and sustaining electrodes Z are arranged so as to have an interval G of 90μm or larger and 200μm or smaller, and relations: 0<(the lower width 44I less the upper width 44h of the lateral barrier rib)≤80μm, 1<(the lower width 44I divided by the upper width 44h of the lateral barrier rib)≤about 1.4, 0<(the lower width 45I less the upper width 45h of a longitudinal barrier rib)≤50μm, and/or 1<(the lower width 45I/divided by the upper width 45h of the longitudinal barrier rib)≤about 1.8, are satisfied.
