PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface mount oscillator from which noises are particularly reduced by excluding a conductor path between a pair of IC terminals connected to a capacitor. SOLUTION: An oscillator IC chip 2 having a plurality of IC terminals including at least a pair of first terminals 10(ab) electrically connected to the capacitor 4 on one principal side thereof, and circuit elements for forming an oscillation circuit together with a crystal resonator integrated thereon, is provided with a pair of second terminals 13(ab) on the other principal side, the second terminals 13(ab) being electrically connected to a pair of the first terminals 10(ab) via through-electrodes 12 and to which the capacitor 4 is directly connected.
