PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission system capable of establishing the compatibility between multi-channeled audio signals and an improved transmission efficiency of a control signal. SOLUTION: When no terminal 1 transmits an audio signal, each terminal 1 can transmit only the control signal by the CSMA system. When any terminal 1 transmits the audio signals by the TDMA system, since an audio signal transmission period (TDMA interval) and a control signal transmission period (CSMA interval) are alternately switched, the audio signal transmission period is relatively prolonged to attain multi-channeling of the audio signals. Further, when a beacon signal generating section 2 is out of order, since the terminal 1 provided with a beacon signal generating section 17 transmits beacon signals B1, B2 to the signal line Ls in place of the beacon signal generator 2, a speech (transmission of the audio signals) between the terminals 1, 1 can be attained.
