LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY AND DRIVING METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display capable of displaying a subsidiary image without causing the inverse phenomenon of an image and a method for driving the liquid crystal display. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display comprises a liquid crystal display panel assembly provided with a first display region and a second display region for displaying images on the sides opposite to each other, and a memory for storing image data from the external in a matrix shape. The memory includes a first region for storing data to be displayed in the first display region and a second region for storing data to be displayed in the second display region among the image data. Data input last in one row unit are first output among the data that are stored in the first region, and the data input first are first output among the data that are stored in the second region. In this way, the image that is displayed particularly in a sub-display area among a main display area and a sub-display area that are formed on one display panel part can be displayed in a source format rather than an inversion format.
