PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve instant start performance and to prevent deterioration in driving performance of a fixing belt and an image defect due to a leak of a lubricant in a fixing device which sends a recording medium carrying a toner image in a press-contact section between the fixing belt and a pressure member, and heats, presses and then fixes the recording medium to fix the toner image. SOLUTION: Oil reaction films 21c and 23d are formed on an internal surface of a base layer 21b of the fixing belt 21 and in a region a pressure support 23 supporting the fixing belt 21 is rubbed against the fixing belt 21 to reduce slide resistance at a nip part 10a. an image defect, smoking, firing, etc., due to a leak and dripping of a lubricant are prevented.
