PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leakage detection device for a combustion device capable of minimizing damage by securely detecting and notifying leakage of fuel oil from a combustion device. SOLUTION: The leakage detection device 3 provided for a tray 2 on the combustion device 1 consists of an outer frame 4 having an attachment part to the tray 2, a luminescence part 5 for emitting light toward the tray 2 below in the outer frame 4, a photosensor 7 with a light receiving part 6 for reflecting and receiving the light of the luminescence part 5 and a prism body 9 with an irregular surface 8 as a bottom surface provided between the photosensor 7 and the tray 2. The leakage detection device 3 detects leakage of the fuel oil, stops combustion and notifies so that if the irregular surface of the prism body is buried under an oil surface, light transmits the prism body as the prism body does not works as a reflection surface part and leakage of the fuel oil is detected by the photosensor as the light of the luminescence part does not reflect to the light receiving part. As combustion is stopped and a leakage state is notified, safety is secured and damage can be prevented from spreading.
