PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric compressor with liquid compression prevention function, which has a liquid compression prevention function suppressing or avoiding occurrence of liquid compression, and can set mechanical strength of the compressor lower than the conventional art. SOLUTION: The electric compressor (including a hybrid compressor) 1 incorporating an electric motor 35 disposed to a refrigerating circuit has a means outputting a start signal 60, and a means for passing an electric current through the motor based on the output signal.
