<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a device of vehicle sensing for traffic-actuated control which highly precisely detect the presence of a vehicle necessary for accurate traffic-actuated control, and generate a high precision traffic-actuated control signal enabling a signal controller to perform traffic-actuated control at appropriate timing. <P>SOLUTION: The system includes an imaging means for periodically acquiring image data including an area near by a stop line for every prescribed period; a data processing means for detecting a vehicle on the basis of the image data; and an output means for outputting a responding signal in response to the detection of the detected vehicle. The data processing means measures a stoppage time period of the vehicle to determine that the vehicle is in parking when the stoppage time period exceeds a threshold, and the output means stops the output of the responding signal corresponding to the vehicle when the data processing means determines that the vehicle is in parking. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
